About Me

Hi there! I’m Tori Ganahl.

I am an aspiring entertainment journalist and PR specialist with a passion for communication. I am ecstatic to be a part of the School of Journalism and Communication at University of Oregon to pursue my dream of entering the entertainment industry with a focus in broadcast journalism and public relations. While pursing my degree, I also partake in leadership, community service, various campus internships and a minor in theater.

I have an extensive background in broadcast news, print journalism and public relations. I’ve done everything from working for an agency and Fortune 500 company doing public relations work, to hosting and producing various episodes of the student-run television program, Duck TV, to managing events at an event venue. I spent last summer exploring the BBC newsrooms, receiving on-set experience with BBC television programs and having in-depth conversations with several editors, reporters, foreign correspondents and public relations specialists in the London area through professors with years of experience in the field. I hope to gain more experience by working in the greater Los Angeles area this coming summer.

I am an extremely passionate, well-rounded person that has developed a multifaceted skill set in several industries due to my drive and dedication to my future. Although most first see my enthusiastically positive outlook on life and my responsibilities, I am also fiercely dedicated to working diligently and creating extraordinary work in this field. I love facing challenges and solving problems, as well as working in fast-paced and innovative environments. My passion for helping others and exploration drive my love for telling stories.

My main interests are fashion, film, traveling and health. In my free time, I love spending time as a big sister, theater enthusiast and dog-lover.
